Why PIIRUS exists

Antivirus stops files. Scammers take the session.

NetForge built PIIRUS after watching the same pattern: a phone call, a fake “Windows Security” screen, then AnyDesk or Quick Assist — and the PC is gone. Those takeovers rarely look like a virus. They look like help.

Current antivirus is strong against malware. It is not built to hang up a live remote session, close a scare-page overlay, or catch clipboard bait while someone is on the line. Until now, there were few practical ways to stop that.

PIIRUS watches remotes, overlays, and bait — then one tap shuts it down. EZ Mode is Stop a Scammer. Expert Mode is the full picture.

A man called and said my computer was infected. I hit Stop a Scammer and the remote was gone before he could touch a file.

I’m not a computer person. EZ Mode is one screen with a big button. When something looks wrong, I tap Stop a Scammer and it just works.

I already had antivirus. It never caught the “Windows support” call. PIIRUS closed Quick Assist while he was still talking.

Under the hood

What does PIIRUS do?

PIIRUS is not antivirus. It watches the live scam — a fake lock screen, a remote opening, a paste into Run — and one tap shuts it down.

Stop a Scammer kills known remotes and scare-page browsers. You press the button. The session ends.

Remote access tools

Flags AnyDesk, TeamViewer, RustDesk, and dozens more the moment they run.

Windows’ own remotes

Watches Quick Assist, Remote Help, and Windows Remote Desktop.

Close Program

Hard-stops the process tree. Installed-only tools show as Not Running.

Scare-page overlays

Catches full-screen “call now” lock screens. YouTube and Netflix stay allowed.

Clipboard bait

Watches for remote-tool names, fake support numbers, and Win+R paste jobs.

Block them from launching

Optional policy so known remote apps cannot start. Mark As Safe if you installed one.

Junk installers

Finds PUPs, optimizer junk, and scam browsers. Uninstall from the card.

Family alert

Emails someone you trust when a remote starts, protection is off, or lockdown is used.

A letter from the creator

Why I built PIIRUS

Hi there — I’m Joel.

I made PIIRUS out of love for my customers. Many of them have become good friends, so it hit hard when they started telling me the same story: a phone call, a fake “Windows” warning, a remote tool opening — and then money gone, or an identity in someone else’s hands.

They were not careless. They were being hunted. And there was almost no way for them to fight back automatically, without training. Antivirus is strong against malware. It does not hang up a live remote session. It does not close a scare screen while someone is still on the line. It does not give a frightened person one button that just works.

So I decided to build that button. PIIRUS watches remotes, overlays, and clipboard bait, then shuts them down. EZ Mode is the product I wished my friends already had: one screen, Stop a Scammer, done. Expert Mode is there if you want the details.

If you are that person — or you are looking after someone who is — this is for you. Thank you for trusting me with it.

With care,
Joel
